Reading notes 1-4

Children of the sea; Children’s of the sea” tells a story according to a man’s letter, which he writes for his lover. On the other scene of the play, his lover’s father refused her to marry with the male character, which makes the female character sad and tries to against her father. However, she finds that the man gives up all his possession to protect her from the miscounted. The female character heard that her neighbor was killed by a miscounted. Also, at the same time, the young ladies in the boat where the male character is, also has been raped by a miscounted. After few days her baby dies, she throws it away and jump into the lake.
Butterflies/ “butterflies can bring news. The bright ones bring happy news and the black ones warn us death.” Symbols/ black butterflies—-death. Suffering life.


Nineteen thirty-seven” —narrator joshpine, a woman whose mother is in the prison. The realistic ship between her and her mother. “Sister,” she said, “life is never lost, another one always comes up to replace the last.” Will you come watch when they burn the body? She doesn’t understand her mother./ conversation. ‘You don’t know me.” Understand utill her mother die. “ let her flight be joyful, “I said to ...” “and mine and yours too. 

A wall of fire rising. Guy, lili, son Guy, Lili, and their son, Little Guy, live in a one-room shack. They get excited when Little Guy gets to play a revolutionary at school. Little Guy spends all his time learning lines while Guy dreams of stealing the plantation’s hot air balloon. Lili doesn’t approve, but one day she is so disappointed that guy fly a ballon. Guy captures the neighborhood’s attention and jumps out for death. Death / freedom. “My husband, he likes to look at the sky.” Symbols—-freedom/ hopeful

Night women
Narrator: the mother
‘I almost mistake him for the ghost of his father, an old lover who disappeared with the night’s shadow.” Night shadow foreshadowing/ first discrbing her love and care about her son with some details. Day woman/ night woman/ “my eye are the color of dirt.”/ ghost woman/ fingers/ she mentions angle for several times.  “ I will tell him that his father has come, that an angle brought him back from Heaven for a while” . I think the hope represents “angle” there.
