Poem

Song Paul Carroll ,  1927  -  1996 To be able to walk along and see the fierce green sun the meadow grass the tall gently bobbing weeds then to take a walk inside yourself and see trees tall as Tom Thumb It’s always raining here     It never rains I’m strolling among the shadows of everyone      I’ve ever loved But this morning I was flying with the birds Not knowing like the map there was a destination But it was fun Like making love on Tuesday instead of      our customary Sunday afternoon I’ve learned to suffocate death and continue doing so all day

seize the day.   There are 9 stanzas in this poem, which could show us that it’s not a regular one because the stanzas contains uneven number. I could also recognize through each stanzas that the author has a more free style instead of all even number lines. The flow of the poem is more peaceful and slient. Each stanzas has been described to different meanings, however, the entire poem sends a message that we should be thankful and pleasure to our life and nature. The poem starts from a morning and the author creates an imagine in the audience’s mind of a fresh morning. Moreover, the poem ends for “welcome the night” which is kinds of foreshadowing and echo to the beginning part. It also describes the beauty of natural and the meaning of life.   At the beginning, the author creates an imagine of waking up in the morning and welcome a new day. I could also imagine in my mind that the sun is shining through the window and birds voice are outside. His lines leads th...

In class writing- reflection

https://youtu.be/9FkDNWOYiFI I like our way that separating the stage into two parts, and i act with josh at the same time. There was one part that my performance is not connecting with their reading. So i quickly run to the bed. Moreover, i like our way of speaking the Spanish lines by different laguage. Also, i think we should have more actions to connect with the lines. Especially we could try to create the feeling of nature. After we discuss and perform, it helps a lot on memorizing the peom. For example, there’s action such as “wake up”. After we take actions of the lines, we could remember the basic meaning of the lines. It also helps us understand its deep meaning a lot since we should think of the actions to match the peom. We could better acknowledge the feeling that the author would like to create in the peom. For example, in the beginning of the peom. The lines is “enter the world refreshed by the hope.” I could get the feeling, which someone just wakes up to start a ne...

A dog has dead The whole poem includes 8 stanzas. It starts with “buried” and ends as “buried” as well, which is a kinds of bending and coherence to echo ending. The peom is more telling the audience a story, and there’s no obsoute rhythm exists. However, there are some reputations included in the main part, which highlights the author’s emotion, such as “he never climbed all over my clothes....he never Rubbed up against my knee.” The memorize part includes a lot of reputions like that which strength the author’s emotion. There are some words such as “Ai”, “yes” and “no” at the beginning of the stanzas, which helps changing the flow of peom. At the ending stanzas, three “joyful.” Reputation changes the flow of the peom again and it also strength the author’s emotion. At the beginning of the peom, the author directly points out that the main event is his dog dead. However, he is not only talking the menmorizing his dog’s death. Moreover, he is talking his thoughts about human being ...
