presentation post

I have learned different techniques from our presentation. I'm interested in Konstantin Stanislavski's acting method since my presentation is talking about Stella Adler, and her acting method is based on Stanislavski. Her acting theme is more focus on actor's imagination instead of memorizing the experience we had before which differs from Stanislavski's method. Also, Lee Strasberg advocates that the actors or actress should be the character themselves, they should concentrate on that they are the character instead of they are acting the character. Moreover, although these theories have a variety of acting technique, the significant goal for them is making the scene look real and natural. They try to use the real emotion to explain the scene, and this way is absolutely attracting the audience better than stiff body movement with unnatural scripts.      There are lots of technique that I can learn from these theorists. For example, I remembered we...

Scene proposals

Our group will perform the beginning table scene which I interested in a lot since it has not only showed the families' situation, moreover, at the same time, it indicates the character's personality apparently. The scene will attract the audience a lot since each of the characters shows their characteristics in a different way. I will act Laura which I think is a challenge for me. Even though she has fewer lines than Amanda's role. However, the scene requests more in the way how I explain the role.   As we know Laura from the book, she is shy and quiet. However, she is also the main character in the story. Also, she is kinds of in the middle of Amanda and Tom. When they fight, she is only who tells Tom to apologizes. However, sometimes when they are fighting, they ignore her in some ways. As a result, she is kind of afraid to get into them. Instead of these, she is preventing from the fight and lives in her own world. At the beginning of the scene, Amanda is na...

in class writing Jan 8.

First, I prefer to act the scene which shows the first big conflict between Laura and Amanda, to show how Laura feels when Amanda knows her drop off at the business school. She feels guilty about her mum since it breaks the last hope of her mom. But at the same time, she would like to stay in her own world by no disturbing from others. So when Amanda asks her why she drops from the school. I will act her like this. I will keep silence for a while to show that I'm thinking what I should explain to my mum. At first, I must be panic. So, I might say "...Um, mom, please listen to me..." Then I realize that I have no explanation for that.I will just keep saying sorry to my mom to show my guilty to her. My sound has a little trembling and I looks like I will almost cry for that. it could show that she is afraid that her mum will be disappointed in her. My voice should be slow and low to show that I'm kind of afraid to fight with others. When Amanda almost cries for her ho...
