First, I prefer to act the scene which shows the first big conflict between Laura and Amanda, to show how Laura feels when Amanda knows her drop off at the business school. She feels guilty about her mum since it breaks the last hope of her mom. But at the same time, she would like to stay in her own world by no disturbing from others. So when Amanda asks her why she drops from the school. I will act her like this. I will keep silence for a while to show that I'm thinking what I should explain to my mum. At first, I must be panic. So, I might say "...Um, mom, please listen to me..." Then I realize that I have no explanation for that.I will just keep saying sorry to my mom to show my guilty to her. My sound has a little trembling and I looks like I will almost cry for that. it could show that she is afraid that her mum will be disappointed in her. My voice should be slow and low to show that I'm kind of afraid to fight with others. When Amanda almost cries for her hopeless life after she heard the fact. First, I would like to touch her back to comfort her, however, at the same time, I'm worried whether she still feels angry about me. So I recover my hand by standing beside her. It shows that I'm at a loss in the situation.
Second, I would like to act the scene when Laura mentions that she had one crush on one guy when her mom asks her. She lives in her world when she talks about these kinds of stuff which is kinds of the secret since she is the person who would like to stay in her own world.So my voice will be slow and quiet which could create a feeling of magic. I'm smiling when I talk about the story. No matter what Amanda says, I will ignore it and look at one direction with smiling. It could show that I live in my own world by memorizing the story.
I‘m also interested in the scene when Laura realizes that Tom is the guy who she had the crush on in her high school. And she refused to come out. This is one of the most dramatic scenes in the story. Also, the first table scene is also interesting. Laura as the middle of Amanda and Tom, when they are arguing each other best, shows the families' situation.
