A dog has dead
The whole poem includes 8 stanzas. It starts with “buried” and ends as “buried” as well, which is a kinds of bending and coherence to echo ending. The peom is more telling the audience a story, and there’s no obsoute rhythm exists. However, there are some reputations included in the main part, which highlights the author’s emotion, such as “he never climbed all over my clothes....he never Rubbed up against my knee.” The memorize part includes a lot of reputions like that which strength the author’s emotion. There are some words such as “Ai”, “yes” and “no” at the beginning of the stanzas, which helps changing the flow of peom. At the ending stanzas, three “joyful.” Reputation changes the flow of the peom again and it also strength the author’s emotion.
At the beginning of the peom, the author directly points out that the main event is his dog dead. However, he is not only talking the menmorizing his dog’s death. Moreover, he is talking his thoughts about human being through his dog’s death. For stars, he directly points out that his dog is dead by creating an imagine in the audience’s mind. For example, he illsutrates a lot of details to create the image such as “garden next to a rusted old machine.” It is the based foundation of the story. For the second stanzas, the author first implies his dog dead with “shaggy coat”. Then, he mostly implies that his dog is waiting for his arrival. However, he is a “materialis” who doesn’t believe in god. He also mentions “friendships.” ,which occurs through the whole peom. His dog and his friendship would not affect his materialis. At the second stanzas, he expresses his sadness of losing his dog, he memorizes all his dogs behaviors, which is so different from any other dogs in the world, such as “climbing all over my clothes.” “Never rubbed up my knee.” They show how he contacts with his dogs. He describes their friendship as “porcupine”and “star”, which creates a feeling of sadness of losing a friendship like that. However, at the beginning, he mentions that he would not talk about sadness in the world with the world “ai.” The contrary better illustrates his emotion of losing the friendship. It is，more sympathize than sadness. However, the third paragraph starts with “no” ,which really attracts the audience. Then he illsustrates how his dog requires his attention by mentioning a lot of detailed behaviors such as “gaze at me.” However, the behaviors makes him feels it is wasting time. Then, he points out that the wasting time behaviors comforts him every time. They are sweet and the dogs eyes are purer than his.
Later, he mentions their memories of going to the beach, and he points out “tail” for twice. I think he expressed his love of that memory through his dogs tail. The dogs’ tail reminds him of the time that they experienced before. For the last second stances, he uses reputation of highlighting the “joyful” and he mentions that “only dogs know how to be happy”. It is kinds of irony since he also mentions that it is because of their “shameless spirit”. I feel like he has kinds of envy of their happiness because he thinks human being could not make themselves happy because of lacking of shameless spirit. He also mentions that “there are no good-bye for my dog who has died.” He express his depressive of losing his dog again, however, at the same time, he is also statistics of the ending because he thinks they never lie to each other.
