Modern Adaptations of Romeo and Juliet
In my story, Juliet is a character who becomes true in Romeo's real life. Romeo is a student in Cheshire Academy who really loves "Romeo and Juliet". He envies their love and the most important reason is that the main character has the same name with him. One day, there is a new student named Juliet who transfer to CA. When the teacher introduces Juliet to anyone, Romeo feels the Juliet is his Juliet. However, it seems like Juliet has no friends in the school since she is so quiet and silent. At the homecoming party, Romeo invites Juliet to go to the party with him. When everyone is dancing and singing, they hide in the bush, and Juliet tells him a secret----she is the real Juliet in the book. At the beginning of the story, both of them dead, when Juliet wakes up, she finds herself lying in a strange place which is modern and strange anywhere. She as a character in a story has a real life. Then she feels surprised when she knows there is a Romeo in this world. Romeo feels surprised for the secret and wants to protect her. The same love happens in the real life, Romeo and Juliet fall in love with each other. However, there is a strict teacher named Tybalt who tries to destroy their love. Under the help of Friar Lawrance and Juliet's teacher named Jenny. They prove to the teacher that they love can happen every age and every time if it is true love.
The party is absolutely the exciting time. Students get together in the playground. The student president holds the party which is a relaxing party. Students are dancing and singing in the party. They also have been divided into different groups and play some games, the winner group will get the new iPad. Everyone is so exciting. There are chicken wings and hamburgers in the party. The background music is loud, and there are all popular music and pop music. The party can be defined as a party which is for youth. They have a stage in the playground which has different colors on the stage.
I think their conversation between Romeo and Juliet can be a highlight and unique party of my story. It indicates the identity of Juliet and it connects Romeo and Juliet together. The conversation helps them learn more about others. it also paves the way for the further plots which Romeo protects Juliet and helps her get along with others. I think the poly can be the most attractive party to the audience. The cometic part is all students against the teacher. They have a joke on the teacher and the scrips can be the most highlight part. When Juliet tells Romeo her secret, Roem's reaction can also be cosmetic. His surprise can be a strong ficial experience. He can also fell down the onthe ground. When the school is under control of the teacher, the teacher wants to kick Juliet out of the school because he thinks the new student brings influence to al of his students. When Juliet and Romeo meets and look for the solution can be the other tragic. Romeo explains his love and tells Juliet that he will drop off from the school if she will be kicked out.
the teacher as a bad character n the story does not care his students anymore, his interest leads him to do anything even though it will hurt his students. He has no responsibility as a teacher. I will describe this character by using small details. For example, one student comes to his office and say "Is that work now? " "Yes" replying by Johnson. Then, he changes the students' grades on the computer screen, and look at the drawer which installs all the money that students give. On the contrary, there is someone who supports their love such as Romeo's parents and one of Juliet's teacher Jenny. I will describe Jenny as a kind and responsibilities teacher who stays up late for preparing the class every day.
The setting of the play will basically set up at the whole school or Cheshire coffee. I would like to choose the black box to explain the play since it can highlight their conversation and conflicts part. It is easier for them to explain their emotion since there are no more extra elements such as the background in the play. However, the party part will hold in the playground with a stage which is included colorful lights. When they are hiding and staying away from people. The lights should be dark except them in order to highlight them. Students will wear dress code and study in the classroom.
Juliet identity can be the most part that attracts people since it connects the book and modern life together. It has the same plots with stories. There is someone who impedes their love, and they definitely will protect their love. The background makes the audience feel more connections with themselves since they also experience the time. Also, the theme of the story is also related to our life. I believe that lots of people in our age will experience a person who teaches them what love is. I want to indicate that love should not be limited by age.
