Part one --

In Act 3 Scene 1 who is really responsible for Mercutio’s death: Mercutio, who provoked the fight, Tybalt who stabbed him, or Romeo who got between them? Use specific evidence (direct quotes) from the play to back this up. 

In my perspective, Romeo is the main role to take responsibilities for Mercutio's death. To be more specific, when he wants to keep the peace because of Juliet, he ignores that Tybalt wants to have a fight with him. He tried to keep peace and has a talk with Tybalt and Mercutio instead of accepting the challenge. “I am hurt.A plague a’ both houses! I am sped.
Is he gone and hath nothing?” according to Mercutio's words, it provokes him to fight with Tybalt because of Romeo's peace words. “ Will you pluck your sword out of his pilcher by the ears? Make haste, lest mine is about your ears ere it is out.” it means Mercutio promises that he is always standing behind him and protect him. The words indicate his determination. As a result, his death because of protecting Romeo. 

Part two --

How would you stage this as a director? Be specific.
If I 'm the director, I will highlight the conversation between Romeo and Tybalt. Especially when Romeo wants to keep the peace and avoid their challenge. However, Tybalt says the fight cannot be prevented. The conversation can not only provoke the death of Tybalt but also indicates Romeo's love to Juliet since he wants to pretend two families hatred. Moreover, it also signifies the deep hatred between two families. Even though Romeo tries to keep the peace. However, Tybalt still wants to have fights with him. As a result, they should have a longer conversation and especially Romeo and Tybalt's body language should be larger. Mercutio's fiscal experiments should be socking and also mad. The Mercutio's death is the second highlight in the story. It paves the way for the following plots. I will highlight the hurt of Mercutio and at the time of dying, his voice should be regret because of the stupid hatred between two families. The background should be in a serious place instead of beaches. Mercutio's death should provoke Romeo to kill Tybalt. Moreover, in the film, Mercutio is dead by accident. However, I think to highlight that Mercutio's death because of their friendship. For example, giving a close-up of knives and blood to highlight the confliction and violence.

Reading notes kira

The stories starts with a man who writes letters to his beloved. There are 36 people at the boat. The man is really shy and he is memorizing his childhood. (There is so many details to describe.) it also talks about his lover and his lover’s father refused her to marry with home because “a solder almost are not human” . Then, back to Haiti, in the girl’s house, it shows his lover’s life.
